Placenta Encapsulation

Placenta Encapsulation is preparing the placenta to be ingested in capsule form. Individuals who encapsulate and consume their placentas often report boosts in energy, feelings of wellness and balanced moods, quick and smooth postpartum recoveries, and sometimes a boost in milk supply. 

We use the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method of placenta encapsulation which involves steaming the placenta and dehydrating it at a low temperature, then grinding it into a fine powder and putting it into capsules.  These pills are often taken at a higher dose initially (2 pills 3 times a day) and then gradually decreased over time as needed. 

We use all-natural gelatin or vegetarian capsules; gluten, GMO, and preservative-free.

Your placenta will be picked up from the birth center as soon as possible after delivery.

The Encapsulation process takes 1-3 days. Usually, this enables the placenta pills to be ready by your first postpartum visit. The capsules will be delivered to your home.
